Sarine McKenzie- 6/23/15
Hey everyone! So today was pretty mellow, I did a lot of reading all morning and some after lunch as well. I received a new book that taught me about NMR and IR. I took notes on them, and I learned about their purposes in chemistry. Then, I observed the results of my reaction (which was actually pretty cool, it turned from a yellow to a dark brown color). So now, it'll undergo an evaporation process overnight, and tomorrow I'll learn about and use column chromatography to begin purifying it. So that's pretty much it for today, I'll see you tomorrow!
